Free Classes Available for Workers Interested in Cloud Computing Career

Cloud technology powers nearly everything we experience online. From Netflix to Facebook, Reddit to Google, millions of companies use the Cloud to power their businesses. The New College Institute in Martinsville and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have teamed up to offer a virtual training for Virginia residents interested in pursuing a career in cloud computing. AWS re/Start is a free, 12-week virtual skills development & training program that prepares individuals for careers in cloud computing and connects them to potential employers. Participants acquire skills through hands-on, practical experience. They also prepare for certification as an AWS Cloud Practitioner, with complimentary access to practice and full exams. Applications are now being accepted for classes that will begin December 9. Those interested in applying should call 276-403-5605 for more information.
