Who is this for?
This workshop is designed for those who are creating a resume for the first time, those wishing to update their old resumes, and those wishing to make their resumes catch the attention of the employers in our area.
What will you learn?
This workshop will teach you how to format and arrange the four essential sections of a good resume (the header, summary statement, experience, and education sections), as well as how to impress employers with an optional professional affiliations section. We will focus mainly on the summary statement, as it is the most crucial section of a good resume.
Through activities such as “Get to Know Yourself” and handouts which include a good sample resume, current resume “buzzwords”, and identifying strengths & weaknesses, you will discover the best words, phrases, and ways to present your skillsets, as well as your unique attributes & qualities in writing.
